Today I was reminded how lucky we are here in thunder Bay. Today, during a morning of running errands I took a bit of a break between Home Depot and the grocery store and headed to the One if our steelhead rivers right in town for a couple hours.

Being a holiday weekend some stretches were quite busy, but I fished a few pools along one stretch of river for a little over an hour and ended up landing one bright chrome 22" hen, and lost a couple more fish, before gettin out of my waders and finishing my errands.

Pretty darn lucky to have this five minutes from my doorstep!
