had a successful bear hunt in the cornfield this week with my bow!

Got out and spent the night in my tree stand in the cornfield. Sat for the last four or five hours until dark with no action. After legal late I climbed down and walked out to my truck that was parked between the corn and the bush. I walked to the back door of the truck and as I went to open it I heard a noise in the box and looked up to see a bear standup in the box in my truck, Nose to nose with me. I let out a holler and thankfully it decided to go the other way out the other side of my truck and ran into the corn. It was feasting on the dog food apples and bread I had in the box. Gave me quite a scare!

Spent Friday evening in the ground blind in the edge of a field. Had reports from the landowner that there was a brown bear here earlier this year. No sign of it on the cams yet though. Therea been a couple bears including a sow with triplets!

Had an interesting night involving the sow and her cubs; she didn't take too kindly to my presence nearby after she figured out I was there and I ended up packing up early to avoid orphaning the cubs. She wouldn't leave but got pretty aggressive with me, and at 10-15yds it was a little close for comfort!

Got out last night for the first night in my bear stand. setup on the edge of a corn field. Had one Big cagey bear sneak in to about 15 yards, apparently didnt like something and snuck away. had a wolf come outta the corn and check things out just before dark, pretty neat to see!

Been spending some time doing some scouting and preparing for fall. Got some new stand sites setup and built a semi permanent ground blind in one of my go to deer Hunting spots. getting excited!

Been a little slow to update hang lately, working and holidays have kept me busy.

Been working away getting prepped for the fall; trails cut, stands setup, working on food plots, and it's all happening soon.

Had a couple nice animals in the trail cameras lately, getting me excited for deer opener in a couple weeks!
