With deer season approaching eagerly checking cams, seeing what's hanging around. Really hoping to harvest a decent buck in velvet in early September!

Went out last week for my first sit in the tree this fall chasing bears. Saw two bears but hoping to hold out for something a little bigger. Not a lot of time before deer season comes but I'll wait a bit and see what shows. Can't wait to get a bear with my new Athens Archery bow!

Spent three nights out at Ryans Arrow Lake Lodge last week. Aside from the uncooperative weather it was a great trip! Great accomodations and friendly staff, and had some great action downrigging for lake trout. Caught a few bass as well but focused on lakers.

Chasing smallies

Got out with my wife and a friend for an afternoon chasing smallies. Beautiful day on the water, lots of cooperative smallmouth!

Got out for a quick evening fish close to home for walleye. Got some nice fish, lucky to have opportunities like this close to home!

This is also a couple weeks behind posting but got out for a day downrigging in the morning and then chasing some salmon starting the fall run for the afternoon. Did well for lake trout and managed one nice chinook.

Got out with some family a few weeks back and fished in the Nipigon area.

Had a great trip, managed to catch brook trout, lake trout and pike. And some beauty brook trout at that! Had some company from England on board for their first brook trout, pretty exciting!
