Tried a spot and stalk approach for bears feeding in a field. Bears were frequenting the field every day, and since I didn't have a bait setup I tried sneaking up to them in the grass field.

Had two bears feeding along the edge, started at 250yds and using the rolling field and tall grass got as close as 49 yards but one made me. He got nervous and wandered farther away and I couldn't get any closer. Woulda been easy shootin with the rifle on a nice bear but was hoping to make it happen with my Athens Recluse. Maybe next time.....

Got out for my first sit for spring bears. Saw one smaller bear and a pack of wolves chasing a deer across the field, had one wolf end up within about 15 Yds! Was hoping a bigger bear would show but only the one came out.

We spent the weekend at a friends camp this weekend and did some brook trout fishing. Beautiful weekend on an incredible piece of water and caught some nice specs!
