Tried a spot and stalk approach for bears feeding in a field. Bears were frequenting the field every day, and since I didn't have a bait setup I tried sneaking up to them in the grass field.
Had two bears feeding along the edge, started at 250yds and using the rolling field and tall grass got as close as 49 yards but one made me. He got nervous and wandered farther away and I couldn't get any closer. Woulda been easy shootin with the rifle on a nice bear but was hoping to make it happen with my Athens Recluse. Maybe next time.....
