My wife Corine has been my hunting companion for years, coming along on moose, deer, bear, grouse and goose hunts, and this fall she took the course and got her licence herself. This week she came out hunting and I was along for the ride this time. She wanted to use the crossbow, no guns.( in rifle season) We sat in a blind that had some decent deer activity and a couple decent bucks had been cruising through here and there. After a sequence of doe bleats, grunts and rattling he came in, to within 6 yards of the blind! We sat frozen for atleast 5 minutes until he moved off a few yards and investigated the doe estrous I had sprayed on the ground and had hanging. He finally turned away long enough for her to get the crossbow up and on him and absolutely hammered him. He made a huge kick and leap and ran off, piling up 40 yards from the blind, after getting a 2 blade Rage through the heart and lungs from the Tenpoint Crossbow. What an incredible morning and experience. Couldn't be more proud and happy!

Got out with my dad for a morning hunt, set him up in the same spot I shot my buck on two weeks prior. After coming by and not offering a good shot, the buck left, but returned to the primos bleat can call and a Rage Hypodermic from the Tenpoint crossbow! A bonus from my day deer hunting the other day. Found a ruffed grouse in farm country and shot it with my Athens. |
