I've spent a few days lately out grouse hunting with mixed success. Some good days, some poor. Been a beautiful few weeks for walking around in the woods!

We got out for opening day of archery moose for a day trip. Had some excitement early in the mornin g but it died down petty quickly as the temps rose. It turned out to be a hot sunny muggy day, not ideal moose hunting weather!

Getting out next weekend for a few days to try our luck again. With tag numbers this yr we only have an archery cow tag, tough to fill but atleast we're hunting!

Spent an evening jn the ground blind tonight with a friends 14yr old son, an apprentice hunter here in Ontario. Didn't take him long to harvest his first big game animal on his first hunt!

Shot a bear out in farm country with my new Athens Recluse tonight. Exciting night, had a small bear come in and get chased way by a nice boar, that I then harvested at 15 yards!

The Rage hypodermic did the job nicely, he made it about 20 yards and died within sight of my stand.
