Got out with a friend to try and catch some stocked Brookie's this week. Was a bit of an adventure, and after having truck issues, skidoo issues, and spending half an hour driving through bush and across small lakes, were met by a maze of blown down trees keeping us out of our final destination We headed elsewhere and found another brookie Lk to fish. It was a bit of a slushy mess and we got some serious soakers but ended up with some beautiful trout! Ended up experimenting with baits, and used some Pautzke fire bait balled up on a hook with a worm. Seemed to do the trick!

Can't say i like the looks of that slush. Considering how cold its been I suspect we will be dealing with that S--- til spring.

It was a serious mess of slush. Added another photo of it.
