Got out last night for a brief trip for lake trout. Went to check out a spot that typically holds nice lakers in the spring, just fishing from shore to check things out.

The water was a bit cold and I expected slow fishing but was pleasantly surprised with the results. I landed 4 nice trout in just over an hour; a great spring trip.

Was pitching mmjj jig flys and Pautzke fire brined smelts, and they were dynamite.

Went out for the first 3D shoot of the season today, the Lakehead Archers Rubber Boot Shoot. Had a great time, great practice and nice to get out with the bow.

Got out last night and dip netted some smelt.

Tried a couple rivers and found some decent numbers in the second spot. Got plenty for bait and a few fees.
