Maiden voyage down the north shore May 6/13

Spent the day with a couple friends down the North shore of Superior. Beginning of May and the steelhead run is yet to get going, very bizarre year. With many lakes still covered in ice and all sorts of snow in the bush things are far behind usual conditions this time of year.

Fished a number of different rivers, found some to be super high and muddy, and there appeared fishable, but water was cold and appeared to be devoid of fish life! ( or that's the excuse for all 3 o us not getting a hit!)

Going to be an interesting spring, with warming temps this week there will be a lot of snow melt and runoff.

It was a beautiful day, and great to spend a day on the rivers
